We are getting excited as our new garden and outdoor learning area nears completion. The area called Ngara Barayi, meaning "listen to earth" includes our new flagpole, a yarning circle and many smaller garden areas.
The area will be used as a learning area in lessons and will incorporate a cultural connection. On our first day back after the holidays some Stage 3 students had a great time inspecting the garden and exploring all the smaller gardens within it. We are looking forward to the completed project and being able to make good use of this fantastic area.
The official opening for this fantastic area will be Friday 24 November. This will be an all day event with rotating learning activities and special performances. We would love to see everybody there to celebrate this wonderful event.
